Designations/Affiliations:
Kathy has been involved in the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors, receiving the distinguished honor of Residential Realtor of the Year for 2003. She served two years as the GGAR Community Service Committee Chair, directing its annual 5K Run Walk to benefit the Susan Scott Lynch Scholarship program. Kathy began a 3 year term on GGAR's board of directors in 2004 and served on the State Association Affordable Housing Committee, the GGAR Legislative Committee, and as a state association director.

Experience/Background:
Originally licensed as a Realtor in 1980 in Santa Barbara, California, Kathy obtained her Broker's license in South Carolina when she moved here in 1992. With a background in new home sales and construction and development work since 1980, she was naturally attracted to The Marchant Company and its emphasis on working with local builders. She joined the company in 1994. Kathy was the company's top producing agent from 2001-2006. Currently working as a team, Kathy partnered with Gordon Seay in 2007, thereby doubling experience and customer service.

Strategy/Motivation:
Kathy is a member of the National Association of Home Builders' New Home Sales Professionals and local Sales and Marketing Council, has her Certified Residential Specialist Designation (CRS), is E-Pro Certified and is a graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI). She offers over 30 years of professional experience in the field of real estate sales.

Personal/Community Interests:
Kathy served on the Board of Directors for the Greenville Track Club for four years and directed the Greenville News Run Downtown for the club for 3 years. She was the SC Chapter of Road Runners Club of America state volunteer of the year for 2002. She has run 5 marathons and devoted several years to a marathon-training program that raised thousands of dollars for The American Diabetes Association. Kathy has taught aerobics and fitness for local YMCA's since 1993. She has three grown children, enjoys traveling and watersports. In 2007 she completed the Master Gardening program through Clemson Extension to become a certified Master Gardener. Heirloom vegetables are her specialty.
